InnovMetric on April 28 launched PolyWorks 2026, a major release of its dimensional inspection platform built around three areas: a new cloud data management service, an AI-powered support assistant, and expanded hardware compatibility across four new metrology extensions.
The cloud piece centers on DataLoop Cloud™, a SaaS offering that outsources data centralization, server setup, and ongoing maintenance to InnovMetric's infrastructure rather than the manufacturer's own IT team. The release also adds shared licensing for PolyWorks|Inspector™ across sites, along with the ability to distribute piece measurement templates with tailored operator interfaces, both aimed at manufacturers running standardized inspection programs across multiple facilities.
The four platform extensions address shop floor scenarios that previously required switching between software. A new Computed Tomography module automates multipiece CT inspection in production environments. Real-time integration of portable multi-line scanners feeds scan data directly into PolyWorks|Inspector, eliminating manual file transfers between platforms. A web-based app collects data from handheld gauges and visual checks on the floor without returning to a workstation. Advanced 5-axis probe head support adds native go-to-positioning, head-touch measurement, and built-in collision analysis for CNC CMM users. Engineers running 5-axis CMM programs who currently rely on separate collision-checking tools will find that capability now consolidated inside PolyWorks.
For AI, InnovMetric is shipping MyPolyWorks AI, an assistant embedded in its MyPolyWorks customer portal. It answers technical questions around the clock in the user's preferred language and includes hyperlinks to deeper documentation. "We dream with our customers, and together, we're taking a step closer towards the ultimate inspection lab," said Marc Soucy, co-founder and President of InnovMetric.
InnovMetric reports more than 26,000 customers across 100 countries. Pricing and regional availability for the DataLoop Cloud SaaS have not been disclosed.
