1. Who we are and what we do

outoftol.news is an independent publication covering the metrology and quality industry - product launches, events, and the people shaping the field. Content is provided for general informational purposes only and is not professional, technical, financial, or legal advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. By using the Site you represent that you can form a binding contract with outoftol and that you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

3. Content and intellectual property

All articles, images, graphics, logos, and other materials on the Site are owned by outoftol media or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

If you send us tips, story ideas, press releases, corrections, or other materials, you grant outoftol media a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, edit, reproduce, and publish that material in connection with our editorial coverage. You confirm that you have the right to share what you send us and that doing so does not violate any third party's rights.

Submissions are not treated as confidential unless we agree in writing to a specific embargo or off-the-record arrangement.

6. Third-party links and content

The Site may link to third-party websites, products, or services. We do not control or endorse those third parties and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Visiting a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that third party's terms and privacy policy.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUTOFTOL MEDIA AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless outoftol media and its affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will continue to apply.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the Site where appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
